Regulations

The Tournament is sanctioned and run under the Rules and Regulations and Code of Conduct of Tennis Ireland.

Under 8’s and under 9’s start at 12pm. Players are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the start of play. Play is expected to finish at 2:30pm.

Match Format

All matches will be played on a modified court under 8’s 11x5.5m (36x16ft); under 9’s 18x6.5m (60x21ft):

• With modified ball density - Red ball for U.8s and Orange ball for U.9s.

• With a Round Robin Format

• With modified scoring.


In all matters of dispute the decision of the tournament committee will be final.

Girls and Boys events will be amalgamated in their age groups.

Players and spectators must follow the referee’s instruction/notices particularly with regard to viewing arrangements.

STEP 1

1.      Log onto www.tennisireland.net

2.      Click on request membership

3.      Click and Complete the Tennis Ireland register form that appears.

4.      You will receive an email with your username and password

5.       Log onto www.tennisireland.net using these details-Your pin number will be the 8 digit number displayed next to your name (this can take up to 48 hours).

 
Step 2: Registration on Tournament Software
Register for a Tournament Software account at the below link:
 http://ti.tournamentsoftware.com/member/signup.aspx

*A unique email address must be assigned to each Tournament Software account. 
Step 3: Add your Tennis Ireland PIN to your Tournament Software Account
1.    Log into your Tournament Software account at  http://ti.tournamentsoftware.com/member/login.aspx
2.    Once logged in, click on your name on the top right of the page.
3.    Click on the ‘Profile’ tab followed by the ‘Sport Details’ tab.
4.    Add your Tennis Ireland PIN in the ‘Member ID’ box.
5.    Click ‘Submit’ to save.

Play will commence at 10:00 am on Tuesday 26th August  and competitors must check in 15 minutes before start time. Play will finish at 12pm for Under 8’s and Under 9’s. Play for U10’s will start at 12:30pm and finish at 3pm.

2014 Junior Supervised Tennis

Supervised Tennis for juniors starts on the 30^th June-25^th August 2014. The supervised play is open from 2-4pm and 4-6pm, Monday to Friday. The primary school children can only come down from 2-4pm while children who are in secondary/high school only show up from 4-6pm. It is open to Omagh LTC members and non-members.

While it is not coaching, it’s a great opportunity for juniors to practice while meeting new people. It is free for members and £2 for non-members every time they turn up. Once juniors arrive their names are taken down by the supervisor and they must also have a contact number of a parent/guardian in case of an emergency. Juniors who turn up are expected to behave appropriately, respect club property, supervisor and other juniors who play.

2014 Summer Tennis Camps

 

    

 

 

Omagh LTC’s summer camps cater for ages from 6-14 year olds. The 6-10 year old age group will take place from 9am-11:30am. The 11-14 year olds will take place from 11:30am-2pm. The 5 days will cover all the different strokes from the serve, forehand, backhand, volley, smash etc. The summer camps are aimed for beginner players as well as intermediate players with an emphasis on fun while learning at the same time.

2014 Open Day

On the day we will have activities for adults and children, a free raffle for a one year membership and, if you are game for a challenge, a competition for the fastest serve.

It is completely free of charge. Everyone will have the opportunity to hit a few balls, have lots of fun and a look at what the tennis club has on offer. We have a purpose built club house and four all weather floodlit courts, available for play all year round

 Whether you are old or young, fit or would like to get fit, then you are warmly welcomed. Don’t worry about having your own racket we will take care of that. Just join us on 10th May and we will show you around the club, get you hit a few balls and, hopefully, tempt you into becoming, a member. If you are tempted then the good news is that there is a very special introductory membership rate for novice adults.
